The eTrapp is covered under warranty for a period of one year (12 months).
When does my warranty start?
The warranty on the eTrapp goes into effect on the day the unit is installed.
What is covered under the warranty?
In the event that the eTrapp experiences a product or component failure that is not caused by the installation process, it will be replaced free of charge.
Who do I call when I have a warranty issue?
You can have the Pro that installed the eTrapp handle your warranty issue or you can contact eDelta Care Center regarding any issues pertaining to warranty.

Who do I call when I get an alert in the app?
It is recommended that you contact your selected service pro.
Will eDelta service my eTrapp directly?
At the present time, all eTrapp service will be completed by the local professional service technician.
What do I do if my pro doesn’t respond?
eDelta is committed to superior customer service, therefore, in the event that you are not receiving the support you feel you require from your local pro, please contact the eDelta Care Center for assistance.
How do I contact eDelta Care Center?
eDelta Care Center information can be found under the contact us tab in the eTrapp app. Or you can message the Care Center from the eTrapp mobile app.

How do I pick a pro?
The HVAC professionals and or technicians will be listed in the app and they will be listed according to the mileage proximity to your home location.
Can I change my pro?
You are free to select a new pro (service technician) at your discretion. In fact, if you choose to do so, you might refer to the complete listing of service pros in your area, which are all listed in the app.
How do I communicate with my pro?
eTrapp recommends that you communicate with your pro (service technician) for issues related to the eTrapp via the eTrapp mobile app to insure our expected quality of service.
Why do I need a pro?
At the present time, the eTrapp is only available through professional HVAC outlets. The HVAC professional can be expected to provide an excellent level of service for those customers located within his or her marketing area.

Alerts

When I receive an alert what should I do next?
Review the alert message and follow the suggested instructions.
Why did my A/C unit turn off?
Some alert conditions will trigger a system shut down to avoid damaging the unit or the home.
How do I clear alerts?
The alert should be acknowledged in the mobile app and the condition must be addressed so the eTrapp will sense the condition is resolved.

Cables & Connections

What cables come with the eTrapp?
A power block to plug into the outlet, a USB C power cable from the power block to the IoT controller and USB C hard wired from the IoT controller plugging into the eTrapp. There is also a pan sensor included that is hard wired to the sensor and micro USB connection into IoT controller. When installed, the A/C shut off connection is hard wired from the IoT controller to the A/C unit.

Networks & Connections

Why eTrapp will not connect to my Wi-Fi?
Verify that the router has internet access. eTrapp recommends that the router be placed within 50 to 75 feet of the eTrapp installation.
Do I need to reconnect my eTrapp to the WIFI after a power or internet outage?
The eTrapp should connect automatically. If this does not occur, power cycle the eTrapp to reestablish a connection.
What do I do if I change my internet provider or credentials?
Select the proper eTrapp device and repeat the connection procedure.
My eTrapp keeps disconnecting from my Wi-Fi?
If you are consistently receiving poor signal strength, consider moving the router closer to the eTrapp installation.
What does the light on the IoT controller indicate?
A red light indicates that the unit is receiving power and ready to begin normal operation. The light will change from red to blue when the eTrapp has successfully connected to the home WIFI network.

Where To Buy

Where can I buy an eTrapp or replacement cartridges?
At this time, all eTrapps and eTrapp cartridges are sold through professional HVAC wholesaler outlets only. Therefore, all eTrapps ordered through the app will be processed through the local pro.
Who are considered to be viable customers for the HVAC wholesale outlets?
Professional HVAC installers and/or technicians are generally considered to be clients for these distribution outlets.
Why can’t I buy direct from eDelta?
eDelta is currently committed to supporting the professional HVAC installer network.
How do I get replacement cartridges to install myself?
At this time, all eTrapps and eTrapp cartridges are sold through professional HVAC wholesaler outlets only. Therefore, all eTrapps ordered through the app will be processed through the local pro.
Why can’t I buy these at home improvement or hardware stores?
At this time eTrapp is committed to supporting the professional HVAC distribution and installation network.

Power & Battery

My eTrapp light doesn’t come on?
Check to see if the outlet has power. Check all cable connections.
My battery shows a low power indicator?
Call your Pro to troubleshoot the system.
What if I don’t have an outlet available for the eTrapp?
Code requires a 115v outlet be available in the workspace around the A/C unit. Call an electrician to install one.

Water Levels

What is the normal water level in the eTrapp when the system is producing condensate?
The normal operating level is between 25% and 75%.
What happens when the eTrapp condensate level is above 75%?
Above 75% there is the potential for a clog in the system that would slow the flow in the eTrapp causing the water level to rise. This condition should be investigated by a Pro to determine the root cause.
What happens when the water level is below 25%?
This indicates that the flow of condensate is falling and the system is drying out. This is a condition that will alert the homeowner to run the unit if the eTrapp dries out completely to replace the water barrier in the eTrapp. Checking realtime.

Installation

Can I install the eTrapp as a homeowner?
At the moment the eTrapp is only available through wholesales HVAC outlets. These wholesalers do not sell to the general public.
How do I know if the eTrapp is compatible with my A/C system?
eTrapp is compatible with A/C systems up to 10 tons. The eTrapp connections are standard one-inch threaded connectors. These can be reduced to 3/4” by using readily available fitting.
Can I use the eTrapp with a window A/C system?
The eTrapp system is only compatible with fixed A/C systems that use condensate collection trays mounted below the air handler.
How do I know the eTrapp installation was successful?
The green light on the eTrapp is illuminated, the blue light on the IoT controller is illuminated. In addition, the eTrapp shows “Active” in the mobile app and that the cartridge shows “Locked” in the app.

Cartridges

How long will my cartridge last?
The eTrapp cartridge is designed to provide a six month (180 days) life expectancy under normal operating conditions regardless of the climate in your area.
What happens to my cartridge life in areas where the A/C system is running less frequently?
In areas where the relative humidity and temperature and more moderate the cartridge life can be extended.
Why am I required to scan a QR code for every cartridge?
Each cartridge has a unique serial number and the scanning of the code assigns that cartridge to the install location and resets the life clock.
How do I replace the cartridge in my eTrapp?
1. Remove the cartridge portion from the eTrapp by rotating it in a counter clockwise motion. 2. Once the cartridge portion is disengaged from the locking mechanism, remove the old cartridge. 3. Place the new cartridge inside the eTrapp and secure in place by aligning the notched portion of the eTrapp into the slotted area of the cartridge. 4. Rotate the cartridge in a clockwise motion until it is securely locked in place. 5. If the cartridge is properly seated, you will receive a green indicator light on the face of the eTrapp indicating that the eTrapp is ready for use.
What does it mean if the light on the front of the eTrapp is illuminated red?
A red indicator light would alert you to the fact that the cartridge is improperly seated. If the eTrapp is properly prepared for operation, the indicator light will be illuminated green.
How should I dispose of depleted cartridges?
It should be placed in recycling in the same fashion as any empty household cleaner container.
What happens if I come in contact with the cartridge chemical?
It is important to note, however, that the eTrapp cartridges are sealed for consumer protection. However, the chemical block in the cartridge is an environmentally friendly formulation. Ultimately, treat depleted cartridges as you would any household cleaner or water treatment material for your swimming pool.
