Most of the maintenance that needs to be performed for eTrapp Condensate Treatment System after being installed is replacing the chemical cartridge twice a year. The eTrapp App will inform you when to do that. The app will also alert you to any necessary maintenance or possible issues.

eTrapp is plumbed into the existing condensate line. The lid contains the replaceable cartridge. The entire lid piece containing the cartridge must be replaced approximately every 180 days (6 months). The sensor array within eTrapp monitors the amount of cartridge life left. The eTrapp App informs you when the cartridge is nearing the end of its lifespan so that a replacement service can be scheduled before the cartridge expires.
The process for replacing the cartridge involves screwing out the spent cartridge and screwing in the new cartridge until it seats. Remember to remove the protective plastic cover beforehand. Open the eTrapp App or eTrapp Pro App, click “Replace Cartridge,” and follow the prompts to register it using the QR code. The cartridge is properly registered when the light on eTrapp turns from red to blue.
eTrapp is powered by the included USB-C cable plugged into the IoT Hub which receives power from a standard outlet. Therefore, there are no batteries to replace or recharge.
As long as the Wi-Fi AP or LoRa Gateway of the home or building is functioning, eTrapp will automatically reconnect in the case of a power outage.
You can rest assured that eTrapp is working properly by looking at the eTrapp App dashboard. eTrapp sends data updates every 5 minutes. Here, you can see the amount of condensate in the unit, if the unit is receiving power, the internet signal strength, and cartridge lifespan remaining. Ambient conditions are also displayed.
