eTrapp Water Treatment and Data Collection
The technologically-advanced eTrapp Condensate Treatment System is patented and designed for two purposes.
- eTrapp prevents the growth of bacteria, fungi, and other organic compounds that clog air-conditioning condensate systems.
- eTrapp then delivers important data and alerts through a computer, smartphone, or other smart home device.
eTrapp offers the unit owner and the installing HVAC professional the data they require in order to monitor the system’s performance and make timely decisions to correct any adverse events should they happen.
A proprietary capacitance sensor array and on-board computing IoT Hub monitors several local and ambient conditions to ensure that every eTrapp unit performs optimally. If there is a possible catastrophic issue, eTrapp’s water sensor shuts down the air-conditioning unit entirely to avoid a flooding event. This highlights the innovative nature of eTrapp.

eTrapp App
A unit owner will have access to the eTrapp HVAC Condensate System app. The app is available in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. During installation, the HVAC tech scans the QR code on the eTrapp unit as well as the cartridge. They then connect to the local Wi-Fi or LoRa network. When the set-up process is complete, eTrapp will then begin transmitting its data to the app. The technology of eTrapp enables seamless integration with smart home networks.
The eTrapp App provides the following data:
- Condensate level
- The app will send a notification if the water level falls below 20%; the homeowner should then run their air conditioner for a few minutes in order to replenish the water supply in the eTrapp since this acts as a water barrier against the possible introduction of sewer gas into the home or office.
- The app will also send a notification if the water level exceeds 95%; while this is not an indication of an emergency situation, it does indicate that the air conditioner might require service. It is important to note that eTrapp includes a water sensor for the secondary pan that acts as a shut off mechanism if it detects a condensate level that could be indicative of a pan overflow.
- Cartridge life
- An initial notification sends when 45 days are remaining. A reminder sends every 15 days until the unit is serviced.
- Power is connected and functioning properly
- Wi-Fi or LoRa signal strength
- Air filter life
- Provides helpful reminders after each user-defined cycle.
- Data on climate conditions. This data includes ambient temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity that contribute to the formation of algae and fungi
- Air-Conditioning unit running time
- This can be valuable cost-saving information for homeowners without smart thermostats.
In the event of an overflow of water into the secondary pan that reaches the water sensor, eTrapp’s technology completely shuts down the HVAC unit. The function eliminates the possibility of water damage to the home or office.
Pro Portal

eTrapp exclusively sells through professional HVAC distribution outlets. The management team of the HVAC company will have access to the Pro Portal which is a fully-functional backend management system for all of the eTrapp’s that the company has installed. The Pro Portal’s design incorporates the technology of eTrapp in a way that makes management tasks more efficient.
Every eTrapp that a Pro installs will send data to the Pro Portal, allowing a Pro to see real-time information on all client units via an easy-to-read dashboard reporting system. All of the information that a homeowner receives through the eTrapp App is also available to the Pro. This redundancy ensures that nothing is overlooked.
Any eTrapp that is in alert status or is due for a cartridge replacement prominently displays in the eTrapp Alerts segment of the portal. The geo-location and customer information is quickly accessed which allows a Pro to contact the client. The Pro Portal functions as a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tool enabling the company to register their technicians and easily assign work orders on a proactive basis. Techs can use the eTrapp Pro App (also available in Google Play Store and Apple App Store). This app functions much like the unit owner app with the added function of seeing all of the units they have installed.
eDelta’s Commitment to Service
eTrapp’s parent company, eDelta Inc., is available every step of the way in regards to providing support for the Pros as well as the unit owners. eDelta’s NOC (Network Operations Center) system maintains a database of all Pros and monitors every eTrapp’s performance. In this way, we intend to ensure the success of every eTrapp installed and thus earn the confidence of every unit owner. The technology of eTrapp ensures this high level of performance and reliability.
