eTrapp is the best air conditioner condensate treatment system on the market because it treats the problem, not the symptoms.
Air conditioners produce condensate during normal operation. The amount produced increases as the ambient temperature rises. Condensate flows out of the air conditioner through a pipe and into the sewer system. The output pipe, however, can become a breeding ground for bacteria, fungus, and algae. These organisms thrive in condensate. Interestingly, they grow into clogs that inhibit condensate output flow. This causes reduced air conditioner performance or flooding of the pan.
Historically, the best course of action has been pouring chemicals like watered-down bleach or vinegar into the outlet pipe. Another method is the use of chemical tablets and strips in the pan. These treatments only work if the unit owner has been educated about performing this maintenance on a regimented basis.
The eTrapp System
eTrapp’s patented system takes the guesswork and labor out of treating condensate, saving a unit owner time and ensuring that the condensate is flowing as it should. eTrapp’s patented system works like a water treatment plant that is plumbed directly into the air-conditioner’s condensate output line. The condensate from the air conditioner flows through the eTrapp unit and is constantly treated via the cartridge that contains an eco-friendly proprietary compound. The compound is non-corrosive on pipes, and it includes gelling technology so that any surviving bacteria can’t attach and grow on the walls on the output pipe.
In the event of a potential pan overflow or if the eTrapp is 75% full of condensate, eTrapp automatically shut downs the air-conditioning unit. The IoT Hub sends a notification to the unit owner via the eTrapp App and the Pro via the ProPortal.
Maintaining the eTrapp is easy. One cartridge lasts for 180 days. As the cartridge life nears its end, notifications send to unit owners and Pros to set up a service to replace it. This ease of use is another reason why eTrapp is the best condensate treatment system available today.
